Background

The Peter Earl Foundation is a charitable trust established in February 2007 by Peter Earl, a graduate and long time supporter of the University of East Anglia.

“I have always believed that the university system represents one of the most effective ways for a country’s future talent to be nurtured and honed.  But I also recognise that university life is in equal parts as much about personal development as it is educational.

“With the best university system in the world – and the UK has amongst the very best – there is still an onus on students to tap into and exploit the educational opportunities that their university provides.

“This is what I and the other Trustees seek to encourage through the Foundation; by offering what we hope are meaningful incentives, our intention is that bright and capable students will strive to exceed even their own expectations.

“The prizes and awards offered by the Foundation are about aiming high and exceptional performance; why be good, when you can be great?”
